Job Description

  • Plan, implement, and oversee preventive and predictive maintenance programs for mechanical equipment.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical issues to minimize downtime and improve overall equipment efficiency (OEE).
  • Ensure maintenance activities comply with company policies, safety regulations, and industry standards.
  • Monitor and analyze equipment performance, recommending upgrades or modifications as needed.
  • Plan, execute, and oversee mechanical projects, including equipment installation, upgrades, and plant expansions.
  • Coordinate with vendors, contractors, and internal stakeholders to ensure project milestones are met within budget and timeline.
  • Prepare technical reports, feasibility studies, and cost estimates for proposed projects.
  • Ensure all projects adhere to safety regulations, quality standards, and company requirements.
  • Supervise and mentor the mechanical maintenance team, providing training and development opportunities.
  • Assign tasks, monitor work progress, and ensure team members adhere to best practices.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and proactive problem-solving within the team.
  • Assist in budget planning for maintenance and project activities, optimizing costs without compromising efficiency.
  • Manage spare parts inventory, ensuring availability of critical components while minimizing excess stock.
  • Ensure adherence to safety protocols, risk assessments, and regulatory requirements (ISO, OSHA, etc.).
  • Conduct root cause analysis for equipment failures and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.

The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5-8 years of experience in mechanical maintenance and project management, preferably in manufacturing or heavy industries.
  • Experience in managing maintenance teams and handling large-scale projects.
  • Proficiency in maintenance management software and project planning tools.
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Familiarity with industry standards, safety regulations, and compliance requirements.
