About Our Client

Our client is one of the Leading Manufacturer and Supplier of domestic household and cleaning products. They are expanding their Asia Pacific business aggressively and have an ambitious five years growth plans to take the business to the next level. They are seeking for an experienced Regional Director to oversee their APAC business. This is a highly visible and expansive role with autonomy and growth prospects for the right candidate.

Job Description

As the APAC Regional Director, you would be responsible for leading the regional team with the growth strategy and tactical plans to achieve the Company's 5-year plan for the Asia Pacific region. This includes expanding their key developed markets to more than double fold in business and penetrate key emerging markets. You will be the key ambassador in delivering on the company's mission and vision ensuring sustainable and profitable growth for the business. The other key responsibilities include:

  • Lead both commercial and operations teams with a primary focus in growing revenue and EBITDA.
  • Manage overall business cost base and operational efficiency of the factories.
  • Prepare and execute the Asia Pacific divisional strategic 3-5-year plan and see through progress to ensure business attains its objectives as cost-effectively and efficiently.
  • Build a strong talented divisional leadership team to deliver the strategy.
  • Develop and champion product development to ensure the company is at the forefront of the industry.
  • Deliver business annual budget to ensure targets and revenue are maximised while costs are kept low.
  • Be the lead in key negotiations with customers, suppliers, government bodies and all other important contacts.

The Successful Applicant

The successful candidate needs to be a high achiever and driven individual with a proven track record within a regional capacity. You will need to have the passion and strength to grow and take the business to new heights. It is critical you have an all rounded experience in sales, marketing, manufacturing, and financial acumen. Other key expectations include:

  • Minimum 10 plus years in a senior leadership role with a track record in developing and defining a business strategy.
  • Entrepreneurial and commercially creative.
  • A proven record of success at senior level general management or commercial management role, preferably in a related consumer FMCG Private Label industry.
  • Ability to lead a team of Senior Executives and driving high performing culture.
  • Inspirational leader who can provide clarity on the company's vision and take people through that journey.
  • Strong negotiation skills to influence both internal and external stakeholders is key.
  • An awareness of the manufacturing best practice, with the capability to draw up strategies, plan implementation with a cost focused mindset.
  • Cultural awareness of Malaysia and Vietnam and considered approach to management in these countries.
