The Associate Director of Forensics will play a key role in an advanced Cyber Security Operations Center (CSOC), providing digital forensic services across multiple business functions. This role involves investigating cyber threats, supporting legal and compliance teams, and enhancing forensic capabilities through automation and emerging technologies.

Job Description



  • Conduct forensic investigations, ensuring compliance with legal and industry standards.


  • Collect and analyze digital evidence from various IT systems and devices.


  • Support legal teams with forensic litigation, expert analysis, and reporting.


  • Participate in security incident response, performing root cause analysis.


  • Develop and implement forensic playbooks, workflows, and automation.


  • Research and test new forensic technologies and recommend improvements.


  • Mentor and coach CSOC team members in forensic best practices.


  • Manage forensic tools, policies, and procedures.


  • Develop reports and metrics to assess forensic program effectiveness.


  • Identify gaps and recommend enhancements to forensic capabilities.



The Successful Applicant



  • 10+ years of experience in digital forensics.


  • Expertise in host and network-based forensic analysis.


  • Strong understanding of IT infrastructure and security frameworks (ISO 2700x, NIST, ITIL).


  • Proficiency with forensic tools (Encase, FTK, Splunk, Wireshark, Volatility, etc.).


  • Experience with security incidents related to medical/manufacturing devices.


  • Strong communication and project management skills.
